American Dream (@ 693 / 2190 )

America eh? My friend Michael kindly rekindled (sic) my postive fascination for this this country. We met up as he and his lovely wife and baby were visiting and staying over in Canary Wharf. I got very lost wandering around the old docks and nearly ended up in Plumbstead again (see Hunters Plastics)

A strange place to epiphanise, I hear you cry (running for the spellcheck) - in the financial district surrounded by endless shopping chains and the smell of smoking piles of burnt cash - but over a hamburger and falafel in a bun (latter me) we brought the two countries together in a fabulous smashmash of over the Atlantic culturalternative exchange.

It got me excited about the prospect of visiting America soon and I began to think about the potential APOTSPOAB’s, who have been in touch, from New York, California, and also Canada (Vancouver). I have this dream of travelling across the US by Amtrak (if it still exists) You may have guessed from previous posts about travel that I don’t like flying, unless I have to…

So, somehow, I will factor the United States of America into the United APOTSPOAB of Arthur's... hopefully via ship, or land via Russia and Alaska...
