Hello all,

I've now incorporated this blog into the new www.thesignedphotograph.com website so won't be updating stuff here much anymore. Would love to have a tootle over and see the new place. It's all rather jolly and much better than the old website!

Silly Shorts

As part of my "organise yourself Anna, you unorganised bint month" I've been sorting out some of my older films and put a couple up on the new YouTube http://www.youtube.com/user/annablack

So my lovely new fiends I give you "Trixie 3" and "Guitar" Last time I saw "Guitar" it was screened on a 2 x Double Decker (a double double decker if you like) sized screen in Hull! ;) All very surreal - the coffee cup was the size of Cheshunt.

The barrier man at Chalk Farm Tube Station... (work in progress)

One day it was absolutely tipping down in a torrent of water and about 20 of us were sheltering in the foyer of Chalk Farm tube station. Not crowded at all and we were standing against the walls so no access and no problems.

However, the barrier chap thought it was a good idea to throw everyone out into the monsoon and called on the police and TFL security thugs to escalate the situation and violently evict everyone. He was nice and dry of course the kin'jobsworth! I have video which I'll post sometime.

Recount confusion (APOTSPOAB #789 / 2190)

Greetings APOTSPOAB fans,

I've been going back through all of the #APOTSPOAB's and have to be honest I've got a bit lost. I know this is rather bad coming from me considering I'm in charge of all of this but it's not easy sometimes to keep track and I am generally confused.

Anyway, after looking back I've revised the APOTSPOAB count as of APOTSPOB # 742 upwards up 1 so now the count 788 is now 789. The problem has been sevenfold.

Number 1
Photos are sometimes taken on different cameras and I get confused.

Number 2
Photos are sometimes downloaded on different computers and saved in different places and I get very confused.

Number 3
I don't include a particular photo for website photos at someone request but I still count it as an APOTSPOAB in my list but then I get all confused as to whether I've decided to count it or not as I forget the former re: the latter.

Number 4
I forget people's names, faces, and how I got there, and I get confused.

Number 5
My system is not the most organised in general

Number 6
On a long trip, names and bits of paper get all mixed up and I can't even remember my own name...

Number 7
I am generally confused and forgetful anyway.

So, in future to avoid any more confusion (that I can control anyway) thesignedphotograph will have a nice little book which travels with us. In this I will note down date, first name (or Dot/Bert if not known/given), APOTSPOAB number and where on earth we are. This will be known officially as the "APOTSPOAB book" as it is a book, and has APOTSPOAB's in it.

Hopefully this will enable me to keep better track and also make it easier when going through all this. You would not believe how much photography, film, writing and other research material I have for this project! I know it's blooming obvious all of this, but you're talking to "DisorganisAnnarism" and therefore tis little ad hoc Matron... LOL

I was in Greenwich today for stuff and milkshakes. The milkshakes were fabulous (thanks to @CartoonBeardy on Twitter!) and so were Richard and David who we met at Greenwich Community College and they also did me the honour of becoming APOTSPOAB's #787 and #788 :) Thanks guys!

They run performing arts courses at the college and are always on the look out for costumes and other finery for plays and the like so if any one has any interesting garb they would wish to donate give me a bell. (I realise that sentence (and indeed this one) was/is almost/will be beyond reproach and I promise to eat a dictionary tomorrow for breakfast - I blame the muggery. It's just too hot and sweaty...)
